Heart diseases are one of the leading causes of this all across the globe. There are certain conditions that make you a candidate for heart disease. These are basically conditions that occur which as a result cause some other person to have a defect in a person. Generally, accumulation of plaque or fat in the blood vessels are usually responsible for heart diseases in a person. Plaque or fat usually accumulates in the inner lining of the artery over a period of time; it is also damaged due to high blood pressure, smoking and high level of cholesterol in the blood from that hole in the heart or abnormality in the heart valves or heart muscles also constitutes to heart disease.

People who suffer from obesity are at a greater risk of having diseases as they need to pump a lot of blood in order to provide oxygen, also such people have accumulated fat deposits in the arteries that make them more vulnerable to heart disease.

Diabetic patients are equally at greater risk of having heart disease as the high sugar content in the blood often leads to heart attack and stroke.

A family history of having heart disease automatically makes a person more susceptible to heart conduction therefore people who have heart diseases in their gene pool must adopt a healthy lifestyle and go for regular health checkups.
