Dyslipidaemia

What is dyslipidemia?

Dyslipidemia is a medical condition referred to as unhealthy levels of lipid fat of one or more types in the blood. There are three types of lipids in the blood which are high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and triglycerides. If an individual is diagnosed with this condition, it means that his/her triglyceride levels are extremely high. It also indicates that HDL levels are low.

High HDL and triglyceride levels put the patient at high risk of experiencing heart stroke or heart attack. Hence, it is important to manage the condition on time to reduce any complications.
