The team reviews the patient’s diagnosis, imaging, pathology and other clinical information to develop a coordinated treatment approach tailored to the individual’s needs.

The Tumor Board provides a comprehensive expert review of your cancer case with a coordinated treatment recommendation. Bringing specialists together allows the team to consider different aspects of the cancer and support personalised treatment planning.
The process begins with registration and submission of the patient’s medical records, scans, pathology reports and previous treatment details. The relevant specialists then review the case before discussing it together during the Tumor Board meeting. Each specialist provides their clinical perspective to assess the diagnosis and consider suitable treatment options, including the sequence or combination of treatments where required. Based on this discussion, the team develops a coordinated treatment recommendation tailored to the patient’s cancer type, stage and individual needs. The treating consultant then discusses the recommendations with the patient and guides them on the appropriate next steps.
The Tumor Board provides a multidisciplinary clinical recommendation. The patient's treating consultant will discuss the recommendations with the patient and determine the appropriate course of treatment. Final decisions remain the responsibility of treating consultant/primary consultant in consultation with the patient.
