Heart Valve Disease

What is heart valve disease?

Heart valve disease is a condition referred to as any of various conditions preventing more than one valve in the heart from functioning correctly. If this condition is left untreated, heart valve disease forces the heart to work harder. For a patient, it leads to reducing the quality of life and can be life-threatening. In certain cases, the doctor might recommend surgery or a minimally invasive procedure for replacing the heart valves, restoring normal function, and consenting the patient to go back to their regular schedule.

There are four valves in the heart which are mitral, tricuspid, aortic, and pulmonary.
