Metabolic Disorders

What is a metabolic disorder?

A metabolic disorder is when something is not right with the metabolic function of the body. It means that the body is unable to convert food into energy and get rid of waste. A metabolic disorder is a group of conditions that happen together, increasing the risk of stroke, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, high blood sugar, increased blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels. Having any of these conditions doesn’t mean, it is an indication of metabolic syndrome, it simply means that an individual is at a high risk of serious disease. Metabolic disorders are one of the most common conditions and can be treated with simple lifestyle changes.
