Eminent cardiologist Dr. Anjan Siotia from BM Birla Heart Hospital, in interviews with India Today and ETV Bharat on World Hypertension Day 2026, highlighted that high blood pressure often develops silently without noticeable symptoms, making regular health screenings crucial. He further warned that hypertension is increasingly affecting younger Indians in their 30s due to stress, unhealthy lifestyle habits, lack of exercise, and poor dietary patterns, significantly increasing the risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, and other serious cardiovascular complications if left unmanaged.
