Headline: Doctors warn against heat-exercise combo
Edition: Kolkata
Heart problems are no longer limited to older adults—many young people are now at risk. Dr. Anjan Siotia, Cardiologist at BM Birla Heart Hospital, says stress, smoking, unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, and undiagnosed diabetes are major reasons behind early heart issues. He also warns that intense workouts or over-exercising at the gym can trigger sudden heart attacks. “Stress starts early and keeps increasing, especially in people in their late 20s with high-pressure jobs,” he explains. To protect heart health, young adults must focus on a balanced lifestyle, regular Health check-ups, and stress management.
