Purpose: Assessment of the function of the heart muscle. It evaluates many heart conditions, such as CAD, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart wall motion abnormalities. It can also detect regions of myocardial infarction and ischemia. Myocardial viability can be assessed.
