
"Dr. Shubham Sharma is a Gold Medalist DM Cardiology-trained Cardiac Electrophysiologist with specialized expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). He has extensive experience in performing electrophysiology studies, catheter ablation procedures, and implantation of advanced cardiac rhythm devices.
He has independently performed more than 800 electrophysiology studies and catheter ablations for conditions such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, and ventricular arrhythmias. In addition, he has performed over 1,000 cardiac device procedures, including permanent pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), and conduction system pacing. His expertise also includes device programming, troubleshooting, and the management of complex arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia storm.
Before joining CK Birla Hospital, Jaipur, Dr. Sharma served as Assistant Professor in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the renowned U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, Ahmedabad, where he was actively involved in patient care, teaching, and research.
A recipient of the Gold Medal in DM Cardiology, awarded by the Honorable Governor of Gujarat for securing the first rank, Dr. Sharma is also a two-time National Electrophysiology Quiz Champion and recipient of the Young Investigator Award (IHRSCON 2025). He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international cardiology journals.
