Dr. Rajesh Sharma

Dr. Rajesh Sharma, a distinguished surgeon from Jaipur, brings over two decades of expertise to the field of advanced surgery. An early adopter of minimal access surgery, he has performed more than 15,000 procedures, playing a pivotal role in its growth during its formative years. In 2010, he introduced SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery) to Rajasthan, establishing a major milestone in surgical innovation.

A specialist in Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery, SILS, and Robotic Surgery, Dr. Sharma continues to push the boundaries of minimally invasive care. He is also the first surgeon in Rajasthan to be appointed as a Proctor by the Da Vinci Surgical System (Intuitive)—a rare recognition of his expertise in robotic-assisted surgery. Earlier, he was appointed as a PROCTOR by J&J–Ethicon Endo-Surgery for MIPH (Minimal Invasive Procedure for Hemorrhoids).

He currently serves as the Organizing Secretary of HSICON 2022, the National Hernia Conference, and is the Treasurer of the Rajasthan Association of Minimal Access Surgery (RAMAS).
