About Dr. Gouri kumar Prusty

Prof. Dr Gouri kumar Prusty, MCh, FACS, FICS is one of the finest neurosurgeons in India, who has been recognized as an expert Brain, Spine & Nerve surgeon. Dr Prusty’s surgical expertise is phenomenal. He performs surgery both for Adult and Children. To name few: Microsurgical and Endoscopic surgery for brain and spine TUMORS like Glioma, Ependymoma, Schwannoma, trans-nasal PITUITARY tumor, Hydrocephalus, Spine lesions like, anterior cervical disc, PID, Meningomyelocele, , spinal fixation including Spinal injury & Peripheral Nerve Surgery. He has performed more than 15,000 major surgeries. Dr. Prusty was trained and qualified for M. Ch. in Neurosurgery from the prestigious NIMHANS,Bangalore. He did fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery at Hyogo Brain & Heart Centre, Japan & Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. Later he worked on advanced spine and nerve surgery at the University of Tubingen and Ulm in Germany.  Dr GK Prusty served as the National President of the Neuro Spinal Surgeons Association of India(NSSAI), Association of Neuroscientists of Eastern India(ANEI), NeuroTrauma Society of India(NTSI), and Member of the EB of Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery(ISSFN). He is the Member of the Board of Advisors of International Neuro Trauma Societies(INTS). His name has been included in international reference books like the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, Asia’s Who’s Who, Who’s Who in Medicine, Top professionals of 2007, Nation’s Who’s Who 2010.
