Dr. Sounak Paul

Dr. Sounak Paul is associated with CMRI as Senior consultant, in Interventional radiology. He has a total experience of 12 years. After completing his MBBS training from “Medical college, Kolkata”, he persued a career in Diagnostic Imaging from “Apollo Specialty Hospital, Chennai” followed by Interventional Radiology Training from “Manipal Hospital, Bangalore”.

Ardent advocte of minimally invasive medical therapies, his work focusses mainly on “Vascular-Health of Legs”, including, Peripheral Arterial Diseases, Chronic Venous Insufficiencies, for the diabetic and elderly. He has a keen interest in non-surgical volume reduction in prostate hypertrophy/hyperplasia and in uterine fibroids.

Life member of “Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology”, and author to multiple International Medical Journals, he is engaged in teaching and mentoring Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology trainees, so that minimally invasive therapies have a wider reach among patients who need them.
