Has been working in CMRI as Senior Consultant Psychiatrist for more than twenty five years. Was a Faculty of Nursing School at CMRI for near about ten years. Taught in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. Earlier worked in OPD of CMRI for several years as Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist and later on and presently working in Speciality Clinic as Senior Consultant Psychiatrist in 1st. Floor for several years.
Clinical experience in Psychiatry for more than 35 years. Published papers in Psychiatry in various National and International Journals. Was speaker on Psychiatry in off-line and on-line basis on several occasions. Taught Msc (Psychology) students at Indian Psycho-analytical Society for several years. Was a teacher in Psychiatry for General Practitioners and Homeopathy Physicians in Psychiatric Orientation Courses organized by Indian Psycho-analytical Society.
Taught Psychiatry in GNM Bsc (Nursing) Courses for Nursing students in various private hospitals in Kolkata. Taught Psychiatry for post-graduate students of one year Counselling Course recognized by NSOU organized by Girindra Sekhar lnstitute of Psychological Education and Research (GSIPER), P-535 Raja Basanta Roy Road Kolkata-700029. Participated in various TV and Radio programs on Psychiatry on several occasions.
Organized numerous Public Awareness Programs on Mental Health at various parts of Kolkata and West Bengal. Wrote articles on Psychiatry on several occasions in popular Bengali Magazine 'Moner Katha' for the common people. Was co-author of a book written by Prof (Dr) Dhirendra Nath Nandi, a legendary figure in Psychiatry, titled 'Moner Bikar O Pratikar' published by Ananda Publisher in Bengali meant for people of all professions and common people. Does various social and charitable work for the underprivileged section of the society.
Expert in treating mental patients of all ages from 4 years age to elderly age.
