Dr Simmardeep Singh Gill is the Chief Executive Officer of CK Birla Hospitals. In his present role he manages Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI), BM Birla Heart Research Center (BMBHRC) both in Kolkata & Rukmani Birla Hospital (RBH) in Jaipur and is responsible for the overall operations of these three hospitals with a bed strength of approx. 900 beds. The 160-year-old CK Birla Group has been involved in running healthcare since 1969 and its oldest hospital is the 51-year-old, CMRI Kolkata.
Dr Gill has almost twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry with a seventeen-year tenure at Fortis Healthcare including its subsidiaries namely, Fortis International and Fortis Hospitals (ex Wockhardt Hospitals). In a recent past role during 2016/17, he managed Fortis’s flagship hospital, FMRI in Gurgaon.
His stints in various locations across the length and breadth of the country as well as overseas, have stood him in good stead. It has made him welcome change and adapt to different cultures and people easily
